the bat never leaves his shoulder. All his coach does is tell him to be more
aggressive. Do you have any advice?

Hi Frank
Congratulations on being the first person to submit a question. This is a
very good question as well. There is a mental concept which I refer to as
the "YES, YES, ______" concept. It totally deals with a hitters mental
approach and readiness to hit. As the pitcher is about to release the ball,
the hitter's physical and mental readiness should elevate At this time, a
hitter should be telling him self YES, YES and then react to the pitch. If it is
a good pitch, the third blank should be filled in with another YES resulting
in a swing attempt. If the pitch is out of the zone, this equates to a NO and
results in the pitch being taken. Keep me posted.
